50 Cent Tells a Judge Tia Kemp 'Just Went Off' as His $6 Million War With Her Stalls in Court
Fif showed up by Zoom. Kemp did not. His lawyers say she is dodging service, and the next court date is Dec. 7.

"Honestly, if she didn't respond the way she responded to the order, I wouldn't even continue to pursue it." That was 50 Cent on a Zoom screen in a Florida courtroom on Tuesday, Nov. 3, telling a judge why he is still fighting Tia Kemp. "But she just went off, and it just continued to go in the wrong direction." The moment was captured in TMZ's court coverage, and Complex and HotNewHipHop both ran the quote.
The person he was talking about was not on the call. According to TMZ's court reporter, Rick Ross' ex skipped the hearing entirely, and she reportedly still has not been formally served with the injunction at the center of the case. Until that happens, the court cannot move forward on a permanent order. 50's side told the court she is ducking service on purpose. That is his team's accusation, not a finding by the judge, and Kemp had not publicly addressed it as of this writing.
The next date is Dec. 7
Per HotNewHipHop, the judge told 50 that whether he keeps pressing is his decision, and said the court would revisit the issue in 30 to 45 days. The next hearing is set for Dec. 7, per TMZ and AllHipHop. Reports from Tuesday did not make clear whether the temporary order, which was scheduled to run out on Nov. 3, was extended in the meantime.
So for now, nothing is settled. No permanent injunction, no judgment and no money has changed hands.
How this got so ugly
This one started with a joke. 50, who has been at war with Ross for well over a decade, clowned an alleged assault involving William Roberts III, Kemp's 21-year-old son with Ross. As AllHipHop laid it out, Fif mocked the young man for going to police and took another shot at Ross' old job as a correctional officer.
Kemp answered by going after 50's youngest, 14-year-old Sire, his son with Daphne Joy. According to 50's Florida petition, as reported by TMZ, she called the teen "slow," claimed he was on the autism spectrum, and posted his photo next to a sexually explicit image the filing suggested was his mother. The petition counts four separate posts or appearances over six days, including an Oct. 25 interview. Rich Motion is not reposting any of it.
His lawyers say they sent a cease-and-desist letter first. Kemp allegedly answered by posting part of the letter with the caption "F u and ya lawyers."
Two courts, two fights
On Oct. 26, 50 filed that petition in Miami-Dade County on Sire's behalf, accusing Kemp of cyberstalking. A judge granted a temporary injunction the same day, according to TMZ: stay at least 500 feet from the teen, no contact directly or indirectly, social media included, and no firearms or ammunition, with any weapons to be surrendered once she is served. We broke that order down here.
The bigger money is on the West Coast. The same day, 50 sued Kemp in Los Angeles federal court, a case first reported by Billboard, accusing her of defamation, false light invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress. He is asking for at least $6 million, which Complex reports breaks down to at least $2 million per count, plus a jury trial and a permanent order forcing her to take the posts down.
"This action arises from a grown adult's deliberate decision to use a young child as a prop and a punchline in order to wound the child's father," his lawyers wrote in that complaint. They also wrote that "autism is not shameful," arguing that the shame belongs to anyone who invents a diagnosis to humiliate a kid. Those are allegations in a lawsuit, and no court has ruled on them.
Kemp is not backing down
Publicly, Kemp has met all of this with defiance. According to Sandra Rose, she answered the lawsuit news in an Instagram video calling him "15 cents," said she would represent herself in federal court and asked followers to help with her legal bills. Complex notes she has also called him a "rat," and AllHipHop reports she accused him of bullying her. HotNewHipHop reports 50 has claimed he got her Instagram account blocked from going Live, a claim Rich Motion could not verify.
The twist is that Kemp was once in 50's corner. Years ago she put out a tell-all about Ross, Tia's Diary: Deeper Than Rap, through 50's G-Unit Books imprint, according to AllHipHop, and she appeared in videos with Fif back then. Now she is the one on the other side of his lawyers.
What the $6 million really means
The number in the headline is what 50 is asking for, not what he has won. Before either case can reach a final ruling against her, Kemp generally has to be properly served and given a chance to respond, which is why the service fight suddenly matters so much. If his team is right that she is avoiding the papers, that could slow everything down. If she shows up on Dec. 7, the real fight starts.
Either way, 50 told the judge he did not want to be here. His actions say he is not going anywhere until somebody makes it stop.
